eu-LISA
eu-LISA (European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice) is an EU agency established in 2011 that operates and maintains large-scale information systems used by European Union member states and Schengen countries. These systems include the Schengen Information System (SIS), the Visa Information System (VIS), and Eurodac, which are critical infrastructure for border management, visa processing, and asylum procedures across Europe. The agency is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, and works to ensure the technical reliability, security, and interoperability of these shared databases that support law enforcement, immigration, and security operations across participating countries.
