Climate & Weather Guide in Cayman Islands
Climate zones, seasonal temperatures, rainfall patterns, and best travel times
The Cayman Islands have a warm tropical marine climate with very small seasonal temperature changes, moderated by steady trade winds and the surrounding Caribbean Sea. The year is split into a wetter, hotter season from about May to October and a drier, slightly cooler season from November to April. Current climate references for the islands report average temperatures around 26°C in January and 30°C in August, with annual rainfall near 1,400 mm. The islands are geographically small and climatically uniform, so residents and expats experience broadly similar weather across Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman.
