A northern suburb of Athens located 4 km northeast of the city centre. Galatsi is one of the most densely populated areas of Athens with significant green spaces including Tourkovounia hill and Alsos Veikou park. The area was transformed from farmlands in the mid-20th century due to Athens' expansion.
